About Us

About The Program

Every karate students begins as a white belt. Over the years we have developed a curriculum that effectively teaches the students both the physical martial arts and the mental/attitudinal skills that provide the basis for positive lifestyle skills.

John Wade was trained by Master Kang Rhee in the martial art of PaSaRyu. The PaSaRyu (Way of Honor) style is a blend of elements of Karate, Kung Fu, and TaeKwonDo. The style is more open and free than the traditional forms. John developed his passion for martial arts during high school and has continued to increase his skill and love for the discipline for more than 20 years.

John also has a love for dance and gymnastics. After high school John performed on the hit TV show "Star Search" and later became a preformer in Nashville, TN at OpryLand. John has over 20 years experience teaching children both karate, dance, and gymnastics. John is a true performer at heart and loves to teach children the skills and discipline to follow their passions just has John has followed his.

John is a member of the World Black Belt Bureau. His students participate in WBBB events and tournaments.

Monday and Wednesday nights 7-8:45pm

Come join us in a fun, relaxed, informal setting as we explore the pressure point fighting techniques of Kyusho-Jitsu and the Filipino stick-fighting art of Modern Arnis. Questions and discussion are encouraged.

Jones Protective Arts

The Martial Arts that I teach are Ryukyu Kempo Tomari-te, Modern Arnis, and eight incorporated theories of Small Circle JuJitsu.

I continue to learn these arts under the tutelage of the greatest teachers I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Ryukyu Kempo under Grandmaster Jack Hogan, we utilize pressure point attacks (Kyusho-Jitsu) and grappling techniques to end an attack.

Modern Arnis was founded by the late Professor Remy Presas, I study under one of Professor Presas’s top and personal students Master Bruce Chiu.

Much of the grappling comes from Small Circle JuJitsu as taught to me by Grandmaster Jack Hogan and by Professors Wally and Leon Jay commonly previously reffered to as “Tuite”.

This combination of different styles or systems gives tremendous flexibility in the ability to protect yourself or loved ones with humanity. This is a self-defense based art, not a sport.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will answer your questions to the best of my ability.
